  • Lahainaluna High School Foundation − A $20,000 total grant for the Makana Aloha annual Science scholarship. $5,000 awarded to this years recipient and $5,000 each for the renewal of  the three past recipients who continued to meet the scholarship standards.   Education  http://www.lahainalunahs.org/

  • Assistance Dogs of Hawaii AKA Canine Companions − $17,500 grant was used as a challenge grant to fund the next phase of the scent detection research. Assistance Dogs was able to get two other donors to match the donation at $10,000 per donor.   Healthcare  http://assistancedogshawaii.org/
